THE RIDGE:

JAKHOO HILL:
This is the town's highest peak and a famous point for Shimla's famous views. The summit is crowned with a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The hill is full of paths and narrow roads which are enjoyable walks.
CHAIL:
This was a former Summer Capital of the Patiala State. The dense forests around are alive with many species of birds and animals best known for its Scottish red Deer. Highest cricket ground in the world is situated here.
TATTAPANI:
Situated on the banks of the river Sutlej. It is famous for its hot sulphur springs believed to have medicinal value. River rafting is also available with trained operators.
MASHOBRA:
This beautiful suburb is surrounded by thick forests. Enchanting trails wind through the forest to lovely gardens and apple orchards. From here, a track leads down to Sipur which is an exquisite glade shaded by ancient deodar trees.
